Bio:
Ron Bell has said that in high school he played ‘House of the Rising Sun’ and ‘Heartbreaker’ very badly. After retiring in 2010 he wanted to give it another try.
With coaching from his son Scott, he learned to play a few John Mayer songs and then started writing his own.
Ron was born in Edmonton Alberta and lived there for 42 years until being transferred to Calgary Alberta. He held senior management positions in real estate development, cable television and television broadcasting companies. Ron and his wife Heather have two grown sons. He is an active outdoors person who enjoys backcountry skiing, hiking, climbing and mountaineering.
